Keystone Dental, Inc., a manufacturer of oral healthcare products for the tooth replacement market, has experienced recent company growth, resulting in the decision to implement IFS Applications to effectively manage its inventory and costs.

“We needed an application that would enable us to validate FDA standards,” Keystone Dental, Inc. Director of Information Technology Gary Gianetti said. “We also looked for an application that could be administered by a small IT staff and used by key users, while having the capacity to handle unlimited growth.”

"ERP systems are very large, with lots of back-end integrations, and will thus be SaaS-based later than other software," IFS CTO Rick Veague explained. Several verticals, like defense and utilities, have security restrictions limiting possibilities to run externally managed applications. However, IFS does see interest in 'Intranet/extranet SaaS,' where a configured and integrated application is delivered as a service by a central IT organization to departments, suppliers and contractors in the supply chain."
